General Information
Once Kona's finest hotel known as the "Kona Surf" (part of the Interisland Resorts chain) today Sheraton has done a wonderful job of maintaining the property. The resort offers two full size golf courses, tennis courts, the Ho'ola Spa (a full spa facility) the Mantaray Super Slide and Pool (a multi level network of pools) several restaurants and full luau grounds. The hotel is a self-contained resort and will please just about anyone wanting to experience the Big Islands charm and culture. One of the wonderful things about the hotel is the Manta Rays that frequent the lava drop offs directly in front of the hotel at night. They come into the lighted area and can easily be viewed as they gracefully swim through the area collecting the plankton that are attracted by the lights.
