The Makena Surf Resort is located two miles from Wailea further around the island. Because of its location, the normal breezes blow offshore in Makena and the Makena / La Peruse areas offer fabulous beaches. The Makena Surf is somewhat isolated, but offers a very relaxing and Hawaiian environment. Wailea and Kihei are a short drive away and offer everything anyone could want in terms of restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

 The Makena Surf Resort offers guests concierge services, complimentary high-speed Internet access, flat screen TVs, laundry facilities, front desk services, and complimentary parking. The property also offers many amenities such as two swimming pools, four tennis courts, and just beyond, the fairways of no less than 90 holes of championship golf at the Makena and Wailea courses. In addition to the two pools, Makena Surf features two separate beaches with outstanding snorkeling. The Makena Surf does not have restaurant onsite, but there several restaurants in the area, offering guests many dining choices.
