Location: Excellent The Hilton Hawaiian Village is located right on the beach on the very western edge of Waikiki and is within walking distance of everything including great restaurants and some high quality shopping. With it's own beachfront property, the view from the oceanfront and ocean view rooms is breathtaking and is an awesome view to wake up to. Note however, that the eastern side of Waikiki (Queen Kapiolani Park, the aquarium and the Children's Pool are a substantial walk from here) The Hilton Hawaiian Village is actually a huge self-contained resort in itself and one could easily stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and never leave the property and still have a great vacation. The resort covers 22 acres and offers 5 swimming pools (including the largest "super pool" in Waikiki), 22 restaurants and lounges and a huge beach and lagoon complex. The surf spot known as "Kaisers" is located directly in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Ala Moana is a short walk or paddle away. General Information:
Arriving at the Hilton is quite an event. After traversing its main entrance and driving by its towers, shopping and other eye popping features, you arrive at a huge area with many people coming and going.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is made up of several separate towers (the Rainbow, Ali'i, Diamond Head, Tapa, Kalia and finally, the Lagoon tower. The Rainbow Bazaar is an outdoor shopping mall featuring over 100 different shops and boutiques that sell everything under the sun you could possibly want.
The beach that fronts the Hilton is wide and can accommodate numerous people without feeling crowded. In addition to the beach there is the Hilton Lagoon, a huge saltwater lagoon that is separated fromt he ocean and is an ideal place for young children to swim.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village feature several swimming pools that are all a part of wondering streams, lagoons and waterfalls. Just walking around the village is dazzleng.
Every where you look on the Hilton grounds you are surprised. One lagoon may be occupied by Pink Flamingos, the next by huge Koi. I guess the most impressive is the lagoon that houses the penguins. The water is full of turtles swimming every which way, huge koi and every now and then you spot a penguin walking around. Kids absolutely love this resort.
There are numerous room categories within the 6 separate towers and most of them are fabulous. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is truly a vacation paradise.
