Location: Good The Miramar at Waikiki Hotel is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and is perfectly situated a short block away from Waikiki Beach. The International Marketplace is adjacent to the hotel and it is within a short walk of the Queen Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo. The city bus line runs right along this property and allows easy access to Ala Moana Shopping Mall and Diamond Head and other main attractions.. General Information: Guests can enjoy uninterrupted sunbathing and sipping on a cool beverage at the pool or take a short stroll and jump in the wild Pacific Ocean. The Cafe Peoni which is onsite, serves an ample breakfast each morning for convenience.
The main entrance to the hotel is hidden within the International Market Place, however taxis will drop you on the other side of the hotel where the front desk is located.
Checking in is a breeze, but be aware that this is an older hotel and that the rooms are smaller than normal and the elevators can become irritatingly slow at times.
The pool area is actually quite nice. There are a good amount of lounge chairs and the building itself makes sunning quite comfortable.
Right by the pool area on the 6th floor is Sammys. This is a great sandwich shop and is certainly much better than one would expect from a pool side snack shop. Guestrooms at the Miramar at Waikiki include private lanais that overlook the Pacific Ocean, mountains or the city lights of Waikiki. This is a fantastic resort for the budget minded traveler and the location will provide loads of fun!
