The Waikiki Gateway Hotel is located where the shops and nightlife along Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenues meet in the city of Honolulu, Hawaii. This property stands adjacent to Fort DeRussy Park. Fantastic shopping and dining can be found surrounding this property and it allows guests to really get out and see Hawaii in their own ways. The hotel is not really close to anything other than the new designer shopping area along Kalakaua, which makes it a poor choice based on location.

A renovated lobby features a glass reception desk. Daily complimentary continental breakfasts include pastries, yogurt and fruit. Nick's Fishmarket offers an extensive wine collection and menu items that include Beluga caviar and sourdough lobster bisque. The restaurant hosts live entertainment on weekends.
